For my birthday, myself and a few friends went to Bricktown in Oklahoma City for the weekend. It was hard to compare this weekend to past birthday celebrations and the only one that rivals it was my 21st birthday, (thanks Brad, Tanner, Steve). Friday night we kicked the evening of with some pregaming at the hotel that consisted of a long mirror, red cups, and ping pong balls. After that we went out to eat and partied on the fourth floor of the Sky Bar. Bricktown is an incredible place, its all bar after bar. The next day I spent most of the afternoon at the pool pregaming, then later on we went out to bricktown again to the Rock Bar. Overall, I had a blast for my birthday. The only aspect of this weekend I would change would have to be having the Lake-house Crew with me. That would have been the icing on the cake.

These HH boots are a gift to myself for my birthday. I have been talking about getting a new pair of shit kickers for a long time. Its about time I live up to my word.

Most days around this joint are good days, but yesterday unfortunately was not. For the first time in the four years I have been in the military I almost fell out due to heat exhaustion. Factors to consider; starting the morning with a four mile run, going to the field in 101 degree temperatures, wearing body army, body vest, and ruck sack while moving 2 clicks (2000 meters). All in all, considering all of my gear my body was subjected to temperatures up to 112 degrees. Even though I was drinking a ton of water, my body was sweating it out faster than I could take it in. Some of the symptoms I faced were, nausea, dizziness, clammy skin, dry mouth, the urge to throw up, and cramping muscles. It took my body a total of 50 minutes to cool down in a classroom. A lot of people say that these are the most memorable events in a persons lifetime, but I wish I could forget it already.

Summer Fun! what can I say. I have been with these soldiers for about 4 weeks so far and every minute of it has been wacky.  So a little about each person starting from right to left. (1 back)Jeremy Coviello went to Appalachian State University and is getting ready to have sex with the same woman for the rest of his life. (2 back) Brent Davis got his bachelors degree and a masters in accounting at University of South Carolina. (3 back) John Collier has a military background tradition for his family has sacrificed the oldest son in every major war since the Revolutionary War, he went to the Virginia Military Institute (VMI). (4back) Matt Eason played football for the Army at West Point. (5 back) Justin Figueredo went to school at the University of Notre Dame and I think he is somehow related to Scarface. (6 back) Karin Cleverley went to school in San Antonio Texas and likes her Makers Mark up! (7 back) Lisa Ernst was on the West Point Glee Club, BTW she sang at a Billy Joel concert, I am so jealous. (8 back) That’s Me. (9 front right) Jeffrey Dicky, aka Old Balls. He has been in the military for 19 years, part Navy, and part Infantry. I also think he has Alzheimer’s. (10 front left) Daniel Cosentino, aka Lieutenant Dan, he is also a West point Grad.

Well these are my boys. I would also like to add that our squad nickname is the Mightly Ducks!

This is my life for the next 5 weeks. It goes with me to the bathroom, it goes to sleep with me, and basically never leaves my sight.
